Based in Pune, India, you will be an integral part of our TMT Transactions team and work on a mix of domestic and cross-border Technology M&A and Cap Raise transactions. This is a key role with involvement in all aspects of the Investment/ M&A Transaction process and towards delivering the best transaction advisory outcomes for our clients. You will be a key member of our TMT transaction team and support multiple aspects of the deal process ranging from Financial Statement Analysis, Due Diligence, building Financial models, and investor collateral(teasers, pitch decks, FMs, etc.)

Transaction Execution role with an opportunity to work on emerging technology segments including Mobile, Analytics, IT Services, Cloud, Digital and IoT businesses within broader Technology sector. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong foundation within the investment banking and transaction process experience through M&A and investment transactions within the Technology sector to join a rapidly growing cross-border, Technology focused Investment bank and grow with the firm.

Designation: Analyst Investment Banking - TMT

Location: Pune

Experience:

• 2 to 4 Years relevant work experience with a big 4 or cross-border boutique Investment Bank focused on execution of deals within the Technology, IT Services or TMT sector(Capital Raises and M&A)
• Sell side Investment banking/Transaction Advisory Services/M&A transactions execution in the Technology sector is a must have.
• Must have a good understanding of the technology landscape and investment/exit transactions process.
• Experience building investor collateral – pitch decks, teasers, CIMs, Financial Models, etc. to working with the senior team on termsheet/LoI negotiations to closure of transaction agreements/documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Key focus on execution of active deal mandates and lead preparation of transaction related documents, financial modelling and valuation analysis & scenarios, etc.
• Transaction Research to analyse different industry verticals, prepare market, strategic and industry peer analyses, screen potential acquirers/investors, financial valuation benchmarks including DCF, peer transactions, precedent transaction multiples, etc.
• Build detailed financial models to evaluate performance of business under various operating scenarios and to analyse the impacts of different capital structures and potential equity, debt or M&A transactions
• Proactively co-ordinate and plan investor/acquirer calls while supporting the data room set-up process, term-sheet preparation/negotiations and due diligence activities
• Manage the due-diligence process and resolve issues/concerns while liaising with third-party vendors like accounting firms/legal firms
• Research and analysis of sectors and transactions - Assisting with Research and presenting findings to management/team (coordinate data, assist in presentation of new trends, transaction ideas, etc.)

Requirement

• Prior experience with investment/M&A transactions with ability to support various stages of the deal execution process
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to take initiative and responsibilities beyond traditional boundaries of the role
• Exceptional Analytical, Business planning and Financial modelling skills.
• Proficient in building collateral, research companies within the Technology sector, built snapshots, analyse potential opportunities for further evaluation, etc.
• Build Investor Pitch decks, teasers, research, and use of Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.
• Impeccable communication skills (verbal and written) and attention to detail
• Meet day to day transaction execution metrics related to deal coverage, investor calls and support required from team to progress towards closure.
• Collaborate with internal and client teams, coordinate deal process, flow of information, etc. in a responsive and timely manner
• Must be Team player and fast learner, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, intensive environment
• Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in the Tech industry and MBA/CFA from Top Institutions with at least 2 years relevant investment banking/M&A/Consulting experience

Our Analyst and Associate Interns work closely with the senior sector leads and senior bankers to gain practical exposure to the Investment Banking industry such that it becomes valuable to candidates interested in pursuing a career in Investment Banking or Equity Research with a focus on the TMT industry. Through a blend of training, mentoring and stretch learning across transaction support functions, our interns build valuable industry experience which helps build a solid foundation for Pre-Placement Offers with the firm or building a solid Global Investment Banking career.

The firm believes in providing appropriate opportunities for getting involved with key aspects of transaction advisory services, getting exposure to key external participants in the Investment Banking ecosystem, and building valuable industry connections and professional networks over the longer term.

Designation: Corporate Internship (6 months) - Investment Banking and Financial Due Diligence – TMT Sector (Multiple positions)

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Work with the senior team towards supporting specific industry research or financial analysis, due diligence or financial modelling related assignments for investment banking transactions in the Technology sector
• Research new industry/markets/ecosystems, build one-pager profiles on companies within a certain area of interest or technology sub-sector
• Support with industry research towards putting together sector reports/insights/whitepapers, SWOT analysis, competitive landscapes, etc.
• Conduct research based on the specific technology sector and conduct financial analysis/market analysis
• Support with follow-ups and follow-throughs with different stakeholders/decision-makers on behalf of the senior team and set up meetings as maybe required

Key Requirements:

Candidates shall meet the following requirements to be eligible

• Have relevant work experience within investment banking / Equity Research/ Venture Capital/Management Consulting with some exposure to Technology industry
• Preferably, you should be a 2019 Graduate or Graduate in 2020(and currently enrolled in CFA/CA program with plans to pursue a top tier- MBA program subsequently
• Must be available to work full time or (minimum 35 hours/week) immediately
• On an exceptional basis, CA Inter Candidates are eligible to apply, if you meet all other criteria
• Excellent Analytical, Presentation skills with some experience of building investor related collateral – Financial snapshots, Pitch books, IMs, etc.
